OK I don't know about Mississippi, but in Alabama we play this game called washers. Its a very easy game to comprehend(It has to be if it was made in Alabama). The game is very similar to horseshoes if you have ever played it. If you haven't then don't read this blog because I honestly am tired of writing and do not feel like explaining it.
The Concept of the game is simple, be the first to 21 points by ringing a washer into a hole in the ground or getting close to it. If you don't know what a washer is then again skip this because i don't feel like explaining it. Its a two player game. Its played in rounds and you get two washers to throw a round. If you ring the hole in the ground you will receive 3 points. If somebody else rings it after you, these points will be negated. Consequently, if you throw a washer in on somebody else, the points will be negated. If nobody rings the hole, 1 point will be awarded to the person who gets closest. Once again it is a game to 21, but you have to win by 2. Also, there are two holes in the ground (usually made out of PVC pipe) that make up the playing field. The two holes are like 30 feet apart or around that I cannot remember the exact number. You stand at one and throw in the other. then each round, you swap up. I think that about sums it up. It is a pretty fun game, you should give it a try sometime.
