Genocide in Darfur

OK last blog. This one is going to be a good one, thats why i saved it for last! Last summer, I had the opportunity to go to Uganda to see the invisible children. Afterwards, I was asked to go to Sudan where I could see it even better, but I had to decline in order to attend school. There is a great evil going on over there right now. Omar Al Bashir is perhaps the most evil man ever to walk the Earth. He has done things that would make Hitler look like a saint. If you do not know who Omar is, we is the dictator of Sudan. He also happens to be in open trade with the Al Quida and Taliban. He was rated the worst dictator in the world last year, taking Kim Jong ill II of North Korea's place. So what exactly is he doing?
Omar is genociding his own people. He is testing biological weapons on his own people. They have been forced to flee Sudan and travel across the border to north Uganda. Uganda has its own problems however. In Uganda, the LRA (Liberations resistance army) is kidnapping kids out of their homes in the middle of the night and training them to be soldiers by making them do unthinkable things like killing their families and stuff. All this so that they can take over the Ugandan government. the Uganda government is doing almost nothing about it until recently. After organizations such as the invisible children started up, congress decided it was time to act. After pressure from the U.S. government, Uganda decided to have peace talks. They are still going on now.
But that is a quick rundown of what is going on. If you want to find out more, go to the invisible childrens website and they will tell you everything. Thanks for listening!
