George Bush is the Man!

So I was watching the State of the Union address tonight.... actually I am watching it right now, and I must say, George Bush is the man! Now I don't know what you think about George Bush. The media has made him look alot worse than he actually is. I mean he did inherit a horrible government. Look at Jimmy Carter. He was a half decent president. But everybody hated him. Why? Because two weeks after he got in congress, the economy collapsed. But I'm not here to talk about that. I just wanted to point out some highlights of the speech.

First off, Bush told congress that if they tried to pass a bill that raised taxes, he would "send it back to them with his veto seal on it". I love that. Two reasons. First, because I don't want higher taxes. As a matter of fact he said "Some people said that they would gladly pay higher taxes. I would like them to know that the IRS accepts both checks and money-orders! But for the rest of us, America pays enough." Thats funny! Secondly, I love the fact that the democrats have enough people in congress to override vetoes, yet they can't do it. Now if your democratic, I mean no offense, but that makes George Bush the man.

I don't really want to get into Iraq, because most people are against it and I don't want to debate. But whether you are for or against Iraq, you cannot debate that the new strategy is working. The troop surge has lowered violenc. Thats a fact. Its such a fact, that Bush has decided to send 20,000 troops home. Thats good news in two ways. One because it means we are winning. And two, because it will pacify the media some.

There is one more thing that I want to point out. It has nothing to do with the speech, I just think its ironic. Nanci Poleski, or however you spell that name, was sitting right beside Dick Cheney. Thats funny because she has tried to impeach him like 5 times now! Anyways im going to stop talking about politics before I get in trouble.

The True Story Behind 300

So I was looking for for something to watch on TV the other day, when I saw something interesting on the History Channel. It was named "The True Story Behind 300". It was quite a good show. King Leonidas completed his training at 18. In order to complete his training, he had to go out into the city and kill somebody without getting caught. That was pretty interesting. The women were also taught to fight and if a guy wanted her as his wife, but the women didn't want him, then she would the crap out of him. The spartens were were the first real professionals of war craft.

But that is about all I watched of this amazing show before I got tired and went to sleep. That night I had a dream. I dreamed I was a sparten in the battle of Thermopile. I was scared to death, but I fought valiantly. OK, so I made that part up, but I was running of things to talk about. but this blog, or web log as i have learned it is short for, has to be slightly longer, so I must write a little more. Did I mention that Leonidas believes he is the descendant of Heirocles. I don't know who that is but its true, he did.

But anyways, I have a class now. So I am afraid that I can no longer write in this blog. I need to make good grades and all that so goodbye. Im not real sure how to end these things so I will just say bye. Bye!
